Beat me, treat me like dirt

I might have mentioned the strike by the canteen staff before, but here you can see their demands. Very decent of them you can see.

Their demands, are as follows:

Casual contracts
Continual use of temporary staff
Contracts of very short duration (2 to 3 days)
Manipulation of overtime
Requirement for excessive flexibility (from 7 a.m. to 12 midnight)
Unsuitable premises
Poorly maintained equipment
Permanent stress and great responsibility
Extremely low wages (between 900 and 1,100 €) in view of the EP's requirements.

I am sure that Unions used to demand higher wages. In the interests of being decent, I know, it has to be mentioned that they are treated appallingly and even I have some sympathy, despite being faced with a choice of spag bog or veggie burger yesterday.
