Vertigo or Mouton for the slaughter

It seems that the French Green Party has had an internal vote - along the lines of the socialists. The Yes side has won, with 53% of the respondents saying yes. 42% said No, but they can be ignored, after all over 90% of the leadership support the Yes camp so that is what matters.

This, of course is just the norm in these matters. The political elites, so like each other whichever party they emerge from all see the benefits of central control. They are after all trans-national politicians these days. The memberships - no doubt ignorant - can hold whatever position they wish, they will be ignored.

Of course this approach to politics can have its upside. For example watching professional politicians faces crumple in disbelief when the people oppose them.
