Are the BNP racist... Oh yes I think so

Some people tell me that the BNP is not a racist party. This is from their constitution,

SECTION 2: MEMBERSHIP
1) The British National Party represents the collective National, Environmental, Political, Racial, Folkish, Social, Cultural, Religious and Economic interests of the indigenous Anglo-Saxon, Celtic and Norse folk communities of Britain and those we regard as closely related and ethnically assimilated or assimilable aboriginal members of the European race also resident in Britain. Membership of the BNP is strictly defined within the terms of, and our members also self define themselves within, the
legal ambit of a defined ‘racial group’ this being ‘Indigenous Caucasian’ and defined ‘ethnic groups’ emanating from that Race as specified in law in the House of Lords case of Mandla V Dowell Lee (1983) 1 ALL ER 1062, HL.

2) The indigenous British ethnic groups deriving from the class of ‘Indigenous
Caucasian’ consist of members of: i) The Anglo-Saxon Folk Community; ii) The Celtic
Scottish Folk Community; iii) The Scots-Northern Irish Folk Community; iv) The
Celtic Welsh Folk Community; v) The Celtic Irish Folk Community; vi) The Celtic
Cornish Folk Community; vii) The Anglo-Saxon-Celtic Folk Community; viii) The
Celtic-Norse Folk Community; ix) The Anglo-Saxon-Norse Folk Community; x) The
Anglo-Saxon-Indigenous European Folk Community; xi) Members of these ethnic
groups who reside either within or outside Europe but ethnically derive from them.

3) Membership of the party shall be open only to those who are 16 years of age or over and whose ethnic origin is listed within Sub-section 2

Well that should pretty well clear things up

What if you're black, but have won a Victoria Cross for bravery?

What if you're not a Gurhka (who they seem to have made an exception for due to the sympathetic media coverage), but you're asian, for example, and have fought for Britain in Iraq or Afghanistan? Is that enough to be made an exception?

Nice to know that ethnicity is more important to the BNP than character and loyalty. I have brown hair and green eyes, so presumably I'm racially pure enough to get drunk every night, beat my wife, and urinate and leave used condoms in my neighbours' gardens, and STILL be considered to be more desirable than those damned fuzzy-wuzzies.

BNP, we salute you.

ENGLISHMAN said...

Is that the asian that "fought"for britain in iraq and sold intelligence to our enemies?

Josef Litobarski said...

Disgraceful.

Imagine the BNP did ever get into power - they would effectively be banning British citizens from holding political office because of the colour of their skin (or, in my case - because of a funny surname).

If our country had a constitution, this would be unconstitutional.

I'm not a UKIP supporter, Gawain, but I hope the 'protest vote' goes your way, and not to the BNP.

Rayatcov said...

If the BNP are racist then why is it not racist to have a Black Police Assoc: an Asian Police Assoc: and about 20 more on the CRE site but it is racist to have an English Police Assoc: or any white anything or other. I don't honestly know, perhaps someone could tell me.

Harriet's new Equality Bill discriminates against white males in England. Don't take my word for it go on my site or even the government site and read it for yourself.
It may interest you to look up England in the Encyclopedia Britannica and you'll find these words:-
"Despite the political, economic and cultural legacy that has perpetuated its name...
England no longer officially exists as a country".
This government in particular has helped wipe England off the map.

Josef Litobarski said...

Rayatcov,

Gawain's posted part of the BNP's constitution online here. He's taken it directly from the BNP's website. We can see that it descriminates along racial lines. It is openly racist.

So, if we accept that the BNP is racist - the question becomes: is racism a bad thing?

To which I would say: if you think the BNP should be in power, then you want to take away my right to hold office because of my surname.

I am a British citizen with one Polish grandfather who worked as a technician in the RAF.

What kind of political party is this?

Josef Litobarski said...

And by 'right to hold office' I mean taking the possibility of government representation away from anyone with different coloured skin or a funny name.

Anonymous said...

Josef, you haven't read the BNP's criteria for membership. you qualify under section 1, and 2 subsection x. if you are a white-skinned gent you are regarded as "ethnically assimilable"

Josef Litobarski said...

Hehe, that's true.

Ugh - it gives me the shivers.

ENGLISHMAN said...

So the are not rascist?why do i constantly pass shops with polish names, adverts in the window ,in polish, polish pubs, polish newspapers, few of the polish can speak English while begging from me in the street, surely if you want to live in a polish environment ,poland is the place for you, this is England,we speak English, you are just as racist as we are,you wish to keep your polish identity,we wish to keep our English identity because it is just as important to us as it is to you,and if you were to knuckle down and make a sucess of your own country ,you would not need to be here in the first place, stealing my job and defrauding our social services for your non-existent children back in your country.

Josef Litobarski said...

Hehe - hi, Englishman.

I can honestly say that this is the first time in my life I have ever been accused of stealing jobs in England. Should I go back to my own country?

You do realise I'm English, don't you? I'm not Polish. If you ever met me, you would realise this immediately.

I'm also living in Italy at the moment, so perhaps I SHOULD go back to my own country. England. And then I could "steal" an English job, fair and square!

But then, that's one of the amazing things about the European Union (and something I would surely miss if Gawain's party had its way - correct me if I'm wrong on this, Gawain). I can work and study in Italy, France, Germany (even Poland) without any hassle.

Race is not as simple as the BNP thinks it is. It is not - if you'll forgive the pun - a black and white issue.

If you can mistake me for Polish because of my surname, then the average BNP supporter would do likewise. I would be barred from joining the party (not that I'd want to).

But if the BNP ever came to power (God forbid), I and every other British citizen with a funny name or different coloured skin would then be barred from holding a position in government by the constitution of the ruling party.

That's not just racism. It's worse.

ENGLISHMAN said...

In one breath you are british and in the next you are English, you seem confused,English nationality descends through the male line, and as you state that your grandfather was polish, you can not qualify under that head."he who steals my purse ,steals trash, but he that filches from me my good name, steals that which doth enrich him not,and makes me poor indeed"

Josef Litobarski said...

"In one breath you are british and in the next you are English,"

Yes. That's because one can be both British and English.

"you seem confused,English nationality descends through the male line, and as you state that your grandfather was polish, you can not qualify under that head."

Your ideology sounds confused. So you don't regard Queen Elizabeth as English? Her line comes from Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, after all.

"he who steals my purse ,steals trash, but he that filches from me my good name, steals that which doth enrich him not,and makes me poor indeed"

Apt that you should quote Iago. Why don't you do us all a favour and follow his example?

"From this time forth I never will speak word."

I live in South Africa, where we are governed by the African National (Party) Congress, they promote African interests and reserve jobs for Africans. No-one calls them racist. I don't mind it, they allow me to run my business, and prosper, in their vibrant economy, if for whatever reason i wasn't able to make it here, i would have to go back to where i came from. I wouldn't expect help from them, they are busy doing what they were elected to do, which is, look after their own people.Sounds fair to me.

Garry said...

But if the BNP ever came to power (God forbid), I and every other British citizen with a funny name or different coloured skin would then be barred from holding a position in government by the constitution of the ruling party. You would still be able to run for government through other parties, even if the BNP did turn you down (highly unlikely) for having a funny name.

Josef Litobarski said...

Hi, Garry

I hear what you're saying, but I don't agree.

First, South Africa's motto is "Unity in Diversity" (also the EU's, I think). You can't divide it into "Africans" and "Whites" - there are loads of different ethnic groups (look at the fighting between Zulu and Xhosa, for example). If the ANC (which is unlikely to ever lose a popular vote) constitutionally banned any ethnic group from the party, I'm sure there would be blood.

But the ANC doesn't constitutionally ban anybody - even whites. Hasn't Zuma just appointed the head of an Afrikaans nationalist group as minister for agriculture?

Do you mind if I ask: Where abouts are you living in SA? And are you Afrikaans or British SA?

Garry said...

Hi Josef
I'm an English Ex-Pat living in Durban, KZN

You're quite correct. the ANC doesn't exclude anyone from membership based on race, but they are very much pro-African and have done a good job uplifting black people. They are proud of what they have achieved and are optimistic about the future.

From what i hear and read from Blighty i get the impression that England is overrun with immigrants and if you complain you are somehow racist. Surely it's time someone got the situation under control before it gets out of hand.

So, what's the Black Police Officers Association? That's OK then is it? That's not racist?

That's why people are voting BNP!

Hi,
I'm 14 years old. My mum is white (english) and my dad is black (from jamaica). As I'm quite young I don't know a lot about politics but I do know one thing. Any political party who judge people by race are racist. OK so maybe we have an imigration problem, so sort it out,but don't bring racism or violence into it.
The fact that the BNP could be gaining supporters is scary. Today I recieved a leaflet through my door about the BNP. I quote'We'd be better off in Nazi Germany' 'Rape isn't so bad' 'AIDS is a friendly disease' The last one I was disgusted most with becasue it said next to it about how the guy from the BNP who said this thought AIDS was a friendly disease because black, gay and drug abusing people have it. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING.I'm sure I don't need to explain why.
Anyone with any common sense would vote against them.
After all racism is evil. Look what Hitler did.

Racist and Nationalist are interchangeable. Where one vanishes, the other does too.

In theory...

Hey everyone, I'm 16 years old and Icome fro a very proud white family. It;s not the colour of our skin that makes us proud, it's our heritage. What we have acomplished in the past. So I don't see why everyone kicks up a fuss when people say they want to keep England white and keep the culture of the country. How would India feel if thousands of English people went over there and starting building churches and taking culture to them. They would hate it, there would be attacks and violence. If the BNP is racist for holding this position, then, we would suggest, all of the following organisations - some of them state funded - are also “racist” because they too address themselves exclusively to the issues and concerns of their respective communities:

1. Watford Asian Community care

2. Watford African Caribbean Association

3. National Black Police Association

4. Metropolitan Black Police Association

5. Black Londoners Forum

6. Black Information Link (BLINK)

7. Operation Black Vote

8. Federation of Black Housing Organisations (FBHO)

9. Black Training Enterprise Group

10. Southwark Black Heritage Organisation

11. The Action Group for Irish Youth

12. Asians In Media (AIM)

13. Barfi Culture (Asians)

14. Black Britain

15. Black Enterprise

16. Black net Community

17. The Black Presence In Britain

18. Black Search

19. Black UK Online

20. Board Of Deputies of British Jews

21. Chinatown Online

22. Clickwalla (Asian)

23. Dimsum (Chinese)

24. Doncaster Chinese

25. CEMVO

26. Every Generation (Black)

27. Jewish.Co.UK

28. Jewish Telegraph

29. MMLondon (Asian)

30. Red Hot Curry (Asian)

31. National Association of Nigerian Communities - UK (NANC)

32. Barnsley Black and Ethic Minority Initiative

Have you noticed how the media NEVER calls any of these organisations “racist” even though they are openly organised along ethnic lines and stand for the rights of their respective communities?
I am proud to say I am a member of the BNP. It shows how I support my country and love it. Now I know someone is going to say that I don't need to be racist to support it, but it's not like I go our and beat up black people and asians.
And thats another point, many muslims and other cultures like that "groom" our young girls. They stalk them at first, gaining their trust with presents and lies. Then they rape them. There are countless stories of this, but everyone turns blind eye to it. And yet if a white person raped a black person then they would be sent to prison for life or something. It disgusts me to see this happen, black/asian people can literaly get away with murder. If someone kills someone, they should be killed themself. End of. No question about it.
Thanks for taking the time to read my post

Why is everyone so general, why is everyone so worried about your race or colour? I'm black but i was born in england so im sure that makes me british and no one, let alone a racist party can force me to leave. i agree that judging someone by their colour is racist. you ask why there are so many gorups for ethnic minorties, its because groups like BNP have made people feel so marginalised and unimportant that they feel the only place they fit in is with their own races. this is very common in society as a whole, starting from a young age; in secondary school groups such as 'goths' or 'emos' genrally stick together because they don't feel their peers welcome them. If everyone ignores their differences, like they do at my school you can see just how easy it is to get along with someone, no matter how different they are to you. I get along just fine, and i'm one of the only black people in my school. if i can do it and im only 15, i don't see why adults can't try, instead of being childish, and demanding their 'own country'. they sound like children, and need to realise that in today's world, it is necessary to have different people with different skills in order to survive, especially in the current economic enviroment.

The organisations that have been listed aren't racist because they don't want to kick out everyone who isn't white and is living in this country!
What the BNP stand for is stupid, it's based on ideals and if they came to power, things would be the same as they are now.
I would consider myself British (although my grandparents came from India, and fought in World War II), have lived here all my life and am exactly the same as anyone in my class...
I would say the BNP is racist because - you can't judge people on colour, that's racist!

Anonymous said...

Oh yes, and the fact that the BNP would let in white Europeans who have never lived here/can't even speak English, but not let Asian/Black people who have been here for a few generations is (for want of a better word) crazy.
