Not sure farmers will be happy about this

Chris Davies, the North West Lib/Dem MEP and an old fashioned yogurt knitter has excelled himself with this report that was passed in the EP this week. Called,
Roadmap for moving to a competitive low carbon economy in 2050
you can imagine the litany of ill-conceived, ruinously expensive ideas that lie therein. The one section, of many, that really caught my eye was this,
Supports the idea that EU funds, including the Rural Development Fund, should only fund projects for agricultural facilities that are energy-efficient, and in particular those employing renewable energy sources that can reduce carbon emissions to a level as close as possible to zero;
I am sure that the farmers of this land will be delighted to discover that the Lib/Dems, and Labour voted in favour of this. The Tories, displaying their normal moral courage abstained.

This should be entitled 'A Road Map about how to park the UK economy up into an economic cul-de-sac'.

Quite where do these people derive their scientific facts for coming up with such a policy?

Plenty of scientific papers have been published in the academic journals devoted to the theory and hypotheses of CO2-fuelled Anthropogenic Global Warming but no verifiable and proven scientific facts have emerged.

The 'Stern Review' otherwise known as 'The Economics of Climate Change' - that 692 page tome upon which much of the Climate Change Bill was founded that passed into the 2008 Climate Change Act.

Regrettably, since 2008 much of the contents that work has been discounted by sound scientific reasoning based upon an ethical approach founded by Galileo, the first modern scientist.

Why must politicians stick their heads in the sand and ignore the reality? Global warming ended in 1998, the only blips that have occurred since have been in the two El Nino years and are fully explainable.

Global warmning will happen from time to time, as will global cooling. There is precious little that we dull humanity can do to have any impact upon it.

By overthrowing God we have to make ourselves important
