Now will they oppose the ruddy European Arrest Warrant

Over the past few years I have been helping the fight against the European arrest Warrant. We have been highlighting the Symeou case and that of the Turner and McGoldrick.

But there has been a pointed silence from the great and the good. David Davis' office refused to open his mouth on the issue. Those human rights mavens the Lib Dems have been trumpting what a good thing they are, and Shami Chakribati never takes up her cudgels.

But I wonder if this news might change their mind,
Scotland Yard has received the paperwork required to arrest WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, sources say.

A fresh European Arrest Warrant has been issued by the authorities in Sweden where he is wanted for questioning over claims of sexual assault.
Bet they wish the EAW didn't exist now.
But the move means there is no longer any legal impediment to holding Mr Assange and making him appear before City of Westminster Magistrates' Court.

Tough boys, if the Warrant is properly filled in there is nothing that the British Courts can do about it, nothing at all. After all the Law Lords decided that it was not worth looking into.

Now will you join us in fighting against this invidious piece of European Legislation? Please?
