This morning the Czech Parliament (lower house) passed the Lisbon Treaty 125:61.
Though they were always going to pass it I cannot say it makes me feel good. Of course the real fight ios going to be in the Upper House where the electoral mathematics are significantly more interesting. But a dark day.

Not much need for you (or other rejectionists) to feel downtrodden, because the vote was preceded by new games to link the Senate vote with new legislation concerning EU treaty reform.
In other words, mostly smoke and mirrors, because the Senate has postponed the deciding vote for weeks if not months.
