The European Police College is based at Bramshill in Hampshire. It is a place where senior coppers from all over the EU go to have a three month course in having their spines removed and is one of the smallest of EU agencies.
So it was a surprise to discover the the European Parliament's Budgetary Control Committee had yesterday refused to accept its accounts and had ordered a "postponement to the discharge" (I know the terminology is a bit strange but there you have it).
They also point out that there is an OLAF investigation into the College.
The slight comedy aspect to this is that the colege seems to have been trying to save money by buying furniture second hand, but fell foul of public procurement rules.
