That secular saint Ingrid Betancourt has been emoting to the European Parliament today. And boy did she go on for a long time.
What she seemed to say is that it was the European Parliament who got her out of the mess she got herself into in Colombia. Which was interesting to hear her say as the cameras panned passed Bairbre de Bruin, the Sinn Fein MEP who friends had been training FARC in those self same Columbian jungles.
So it wasn't the Columbian Army with US intelligence who risked their lives to save herm, but a bunch of motormouth lard arses in Brussels issuing declarations about her.
Yeah Right.
