The excerable German MEP Jo Lienen, arch federast and anti-democrat fired off a press release last night in three languages (suggesting a certain amount of preparation). In them he demands that,
"France should be given a second chance. After a reflection period, this founding member state of European integration should clarify its position in Europe and vis-à-vis the Constitution in a second vote."
Which is a tad rich, given that he has gone on the record in the past arguing forcefully against his own people being allowed the opportunity to vote in the issue.
Rank hypocrite
Update
On checking the presser's properties, yup the german version was definately written before polls closed.
