Pissing on Blair's fire

Just as dear Tone was about to announce his latest cave in, 11 billion of the rebate back I understand, this little bombshell dropped.
The last press conference that I know about here at the European Summit descended into Irish and UK journalists, bored to death by minor European issues badgering him about the thought that the UK had had an informer at the very top of the IRA/Sinn Fein for over 20 years. The guy himself, Denis Donaldson was convicted of bombing in 1972. If all this is true this fellow must have been of immense influence and power within the Republican movement and of enormous use to the legal civil authorities.
So why are we living in abject surrender to those self same republicans?

Still, there is a kind of symmetry to the whole affair, since I’m convinced Peter Hain is on the payroll of the Shinners.
