Now that is a grand coalition

Well it seems that the Czechs are like us revolting. According to a poll in the CTK paper today,
"55 percent of Czechs are against the ratification and that only 25 percent understand changes that the EU reform treaty will bring and its consequences".

Of course this brings the people in line with their President, Vaclav Klaus who has never been what one might call a fan of the project.

But of course the ODS lead government of Topolanek takes this differently - Harvey's law being what it is,
In the Czech Republic the process of the ratification was stopped until the Constitutional Court will decide whether the document is in harmony with the Czech constitution.

The open session of the court has been scheduled for November 25.

Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek said today that the Lisbon treaty could be ratified in the Czech Republic in the first quarter of next year.
