Does George want a job?

In a long and rambling piece on the non event that was last night's Heads of Government informal dinner George Parker, bureau head of the FT makes an interesting pitch for freelance work,

"Officials in Berlin dismiss rumours that they intend to bring in an author or journalist to give the EU's birthday declaration a lyrical flourish, but a certain creativity could be needed to persuade all members to sign it".

FT not paying you enough George?
