Tory women get the vote

I predict disaster. This is the thin end of the wedge, civilisation as we know it is coming to an end.

"Females had never been allowed into the snooker room or men's bar and had had no voting rights since its opening in 1889 as the Constitutional Club.

But the club's committee voted to give women equal voting rights and to raise their annual subscription from £2 to £12".

Don't do it ladies of Scarborough, reject their tokenistic gesture for what it is, a transparent attempt to cream cash from you. Nothing to do with equal rights at all.

Not a penny shall they have from me.

I never liked their drinks proportions anyway. Entirely too much Black in the Pernod.

Well it has to be remembered that the MP, one Robert Goodwill,as a former MEP was famous for being a money grabber. If my memory serves me right he once boasted about pocketing his travel expenses on the flights from Yorkshire to Brussels when he was an MEP.
