"Due to a proofing error, a square was omitted from Kakuro puzzle 005, page 29, G2, yesterday, making it impossible to complete. (The absentee was the fourth square from the bottom and from the right, which should have read 23/24.) Apologies.
Imagine all those Guardian readers who spent all day trying to complete the puzzle instead of getting on with their jobs. Sounds like the most positive thing to have happened to local government in years."
