He has a point you know

Lord Lamont today wrote a good luck note to Phillipe de Villiers, in it he makes a rather fine suggestion,

"May I make one impertinent suggestion? If the result is a narrow "Yes" we hope you will ask for a recount in the French overseas territories .
Some of us were very suspicious of the results last time."

Fair comment I reckon, when in doubt, keep your lawyers handy.
