Only in the UK

Today is Friday, everywhere. Everywhere except in the Palace of Westminster where, by a quirk of history it is is still Thursday (indeed, and from the advice given to Sir Patrrick Cormack by the Deputy Speaker it could well still be Thursday by Saturday).

This is why I love my country. A country that can come up with games that last for five days; where the parliament can reject the passage of time; oh all sorts of oddities.

I am proud of our absurdities, they make me smile.
