The former is likely to occur eventually but take a long time. The latter is possible but requires a charismatic figure to come to the fore. I suspect that the ruling elites in Europe are so sensitised to charismatic figures that they would extinguish anyone who remotely appeared to exhibit such traits.john in cheshirehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00179825507377423624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10701792.post-84555517161350964992011-12-21T00:29:04.708+01:002011-12-21T00:29:04.708+01:00As I said in work the other day: leaving Labour in...As I said in work the other day: leaving Labour in charge of the economy is like leaving Ian Brady in charge of your kids.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10701792.post-82411977593264763002011-12-20T23:06:01.184+01:002011-12-20T23:06:01.184+01:00Thanks WittersThanks WittersGawain Towlerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08583658895528269901noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10701792.post-71786540262098258382011-12-20T22:50:12.733+01:002011-12-20T22:50:12.733+01:00And the powers that be in Europe are just going to...And the powers that be in Europe are just going to role over and lose the 50 billion subsidy?
Not without a fight.
Welcome to the 11th century.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10701792.post-62594110319230931042011-12-20T22:43:26.709+01:002011-12-20T22:43:26.709+01:00Does GATT not cover our trade with the rest of Eur...Does GATT not cover our trade with the rest of Europe anyway?Roger Melliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06154582523939163299noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10701792.post-55130826756278232512011-12-20T21:59:15.883+01:002011-12-20T21:59:15.883+01:00http://trade.ec.europa.eu/doclib/docs/2006/decembe...http://trade.ec.europa.eu/doclib/docs/2006/december/tradoc_111588.pdf

EC REGIONAL TRADE AGREEMENTS

Tables I and II list all preferential trade agreements that the EC has notified under either Article XXIV of the GATT or Article V of the GATS and where theGATT/WTO notification has not been overtaken by later notifications of successor agreements.

Table III lists EPAs under preparation.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10701792.post-38444273116232753192011-12-20T21:57:02.614+01:002011-12-20T21:57:02.614+01:00From the EU's own website :
